For the sake of traffic convenience and beautification, Jianguo Bank was designed to be a round-shaped building. Since the foundation of new China, Jianguo Bank operated in the building no longer. By the end of 1970s, there were a handful of financial institutions operating in this building. Early 1980s, Chongqing Securities Company (the predecessor of Southwest Securities) was the last company which operated here. Due to urban redevelopment, the building was dismantled soon.
