The U.S. Dalai Inc. (Chongqing) was built in the 30^th year of the reign of emperor Daoguang, or 1850. Before setting Chongqing as a trading port, it was a typical office tower and hotel by the Yangtze River. It was one of the oldest foreign mansions in urban Chongqing. In the years to come, it had been under the management of Jiangquantaihao. That is why it was called Jiangquantaihao. After liberation, it was the dorm of leaders of a Central Southwest Organ and later owned by an electromechanical company. Further later, it was used by the residents. It was listed among the first group of 152 excellent building groups in Chongqing in 2006. It was ruined by a fire disaster in 2015.
