Zhongfa Pharmacy was founded by Huang Chujiu from Yuyao of Zhejiang Province in the year of 1890 in Shanghai. Its predecessor was Yishoutang clinic. Huang Chujiu was well-known in Shanghai. Longhu Rendan (a pill) and Shanghai Big World were also founded by him. There were nearly 100 stores nationwide when it was in the prime. Zhongfa Pharmacy Chongqing Branch was founded since 1940 and later ruined during the bombing. Chongqing Business Tower was built upon the pharmacy building’s foundation.
